The Story Yoga Arc
Every story — The Seed, Leo the Lion Cub, Rex the Dinosaur — follows the same 6 phases. Children feel the structure, recognise each moment, and know what comes next.

What age is The Mindful Kids for?

Our weekly classes and holiday camps are designed for children aged 5–12 years. The method is age-appropriate at every step — younger children focus on play, movement, and story; older children explore breath, self-regulation, and reflection. Siblings inside this range are welcome to join the same class.
How much does it cost?

An 8-week class block costs €160. The first class is always a free trial — your child joins a real class, meets the group, and you decide if it's the right fit before paying.

The Mindful Kids is based in Hoofddorp (Nijverheidsstraat 3A+B, 2132 AZ) and runs weekly classes plus holiday camps across Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland — including Amstelveen, Amsterdam, Haarlem, and Nieuw-Vennep. We also visit schools and host private group classes.
How long is each class and what happens in it?

Each class is 45 minutes: Welcome circle (5 min), balance games with yoga ball and bricks (10 min), sun salutations (5 min), meet the 3 friends and Story Yoga (15 min), and rain dance plus body scan (10 min). Every class follows the same predictable flow so children feel safe to settle in quickly.
What is the Rainbow Feelings method and the 3 Friends?

Rainbow Feelings is the emotional-literacy foundation of The Mindful Kids method. Children learn to recognise and name big feelings through three signature friends: General Grumpy (the big uncomfortable feelings), Captain Calm (the breath and the pause), and Hip Hip Hooray (the celebration after we get through). It teaches the magic sequence — notice, breathe, try, celebrate.
How does mindfulness help kids build confidence?
